Dave Turner Named GLIAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year - Three Timberwolves Earn All-GLIAC Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. – Dave Turner was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's golf coach of the year, as the league announced their post-season awards Tuesday (May 17).
Northwood also placed three student-athletes on the All-GLIAC teams: junior Ines Dorado and senior Sydni Harding each earned Second Team All-GLIAC, while senior Tyler Kautz was named honorable mention.
This is the third time in his career that Dave Turner has been named the GLIAC Coach of the Year, as he earned the men's award in 2003 and the women's honor in 2007. Turner led Northwood to it best finish in program history at the GLIAC Championships, placing second overall. The Timberwolves finished the year with a 315.0 scoring average, breaking the old Northwood school record by five shots. Northwood shot the two lowest 18-hole scores in program history (295, 208) and also broke the program 36-hole team score record (598) this season.
Dorado has now earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors four straight times in her career. She became the third player in program history to earn Her scoring average was 77.3 over the course of 34 rounds, which is the best for a full season in program history. She finished in the top-10 in five times and had an individual winning percentage of .769 (813-244).
Harding earned All-GLIAC for the fourth straight year in 2022. She ended her senior year with a 77.6 scoring average, the second best average for a full season in school history. Harding carded three rounds of par or better and had four top-10 finishes. Her individual win percentage finished at .784 (753-207).
This is the first time in Kautz's career she had been named All-GLIAC. Her senior season was her best at Northwood, ending the season with a scoring average of 80.5. She finished the year with an individual win percentage of .589 (565-395).
