Gabby Wilson Becomes First G-MAC Athlete of the Week In Northwood Women's Lacrosse History
MIDLAND, MICH. – Gabby Wilson, a junior on the Northwood University women's lacrosse team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
She is the first Northwood women's lacrosse player in program history to earn a weekly honor from the Great Midwest.
Wilson played a strong all-around game in Northwood's 17-10 road win at Coker, finishing with team-highs in goals (four), assists (two) while also adding game-highs in ground balls (seven), draw controls (10) and forced turnovers (four). Northwood's victory at Coker is the first road win in program history.
Northwood is 2-2 on the season. The Timberwolves will take on Greensboro College Tuesday (March 11). Game time is set for 2 p.m.
