GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• After Malone started the scoring at the 13:26 mark, Northwood needed just seven seconds to tie the score. Montana Chuba found the back of the net off a pass from Gabby Wilson to make the score 1-1 early in the first.
• The Pioneers made a run at that point, scoring the next four goals to take a 5-1 lead at the 8:27 mark.
• NU responded with three of the next four goals, with Sam Peterson, Wilson and Chuba all scoring to get NU within two at 6-4.
• Peterson added the final goal of the period to cut the Malone lead to 7-5 after one.
• Malone led 9-6 with 10 minutes remaining in the second when Northwood finished the half strong. The Timberwolves netted the final four goals of the quarter to take a 10-9 lead at halftime. Wilson scored a pair of goals in the period, while Chuba, Peterson and Taylor Murrell each added one goal.
• Malone came out strong to start the third, scoring the first three goals and four of the first five overall to go up 13-11.
• The Pioneers eventually scored six of the eight goals put up in the third to take a 15-12 lead heading to the fourth.
• Wilson and Peterson netted goals for NU in the third.
• Malone kept the momentum going into the final quarter, scoring the first five goals to push their lead to 20-12.
• Northwood responded with the next four goals, with Wilson (two), Murrell and Gabriella Torgeson each scoring to make the score 20-16.
• MU netted the final goal in the closing seconds to make the final 21-16.
