Gabby Wilson Earns Her Second G-MAC Defensive Athlete of The Week Award Of The Season
MIDLAND, MICH. – Gabby Wilson, a junior on the Northwood University women's lacrosse team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
It is the second time this season Wilson has been named the G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Wilson led Northwood to its first G-MAC victory in program history with a dominant performance in draw controls against Lake Erie. She finished with 18 draw controls against the Storm. That total is the most for any player in the G-MAC by seven and the third most for any player in Division II this season. Wilson also added three goals, three assists and five ground balls.
Northwood is 4-6 overall, 1-3 in the G-MAC in on the season. The Timberwolves travel to Thomas More Thursday (April 15). Game time is set for 5 p.m.
