Women's Lacrosse Puts Three On All-Great Midwest Teams
ASHLAND, OHIO – The Northwood University women's lacrosse team placed three student-athletes on the All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC)
Graduate senior midfielder Sam Peterson and junior midfielder Gabby Wilson and each were named First Team All-Conference. Freshman attacker Montana Chuba earned Second Team honors.
Peterson finished her final collegiate season with 45 goals and 15 assists for 60 points. She was second on the team in goals and assists while tied for the team lead in points. Peterson also added 71 draw controls and 23 caused turnovers. She finished the season ranked sixth in the G-MAC in both goals and draw controls per game while standing seventh in points and second in shots per game.
Wilson earned All-Great Midwest honors for the third time in her career, as she earned second team and third team honors in her time at Tiffin. This season, Wilson was best draw control players in the country, leading the G-MAC while ranking fourth in Division II at 8.2 draws per game. She also led Northwood and ranked seventh in the G-MAC in assists with 21. For the season, Wilson finished with 35 goals and 56 points.
Chuba came right in and was a force on offense for the Timberwolves, leading the team in goals with 46 while sharing the team lead with 60 points. She ranked fifth in the G-MAC in goals per game while standing sixth in points and first in shots (111). Chuba ranked third on the team in draw controls (45)
Northwood finished their first season in program history 6-9 overall, 3-5 in conference play.
