RECAP: Northwood dropped a 5-1 contest at Ohio Dominican Sunday afternoon (September 2).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Playing in temperatures in the 90s on a turf field, ODU got on the board early. Their goal in the 16th minute gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
- Northwood's defense was tested the remainder of the half, but the score remained 1-0 at the break. Ohio Dominican out-shot Northwood 12-2 while holding a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.
- The Panthers made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute before the Timberwolves responded with a goal of their own. Freshman Jillian Hon found the back of the net for her first career goal, cutting the advantage to 2-1.
- Ohio Dominican came right back with a goal less than two minutes later and wore down the Timberwolves. The Panthers scored three goals from the 63rd minute on to close out the win.
