RECAP: Northwood played Detroit to a 2-2 draw in the exhibition opener for the Timberwolves Thursday afternoon (August 22).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood got on the board first in the 10th minute. Taking a rebound that went off the post, Juliana Paoletti scored to give the Timberwolves a 1-0 lead.
- The Timberwolves made it 2-0 in the 40th minute. Sophomore Riley Rajewski took a feed from Jillian Hon and scored from just outside the area.
- Detroit got going in the second half. The Titans scored at 60:23 and 77:44 to tie the game.
- Neither team put together many chances in the two overtime periods – NU had one shot while UD had three attempts in the 20 extra minutes of play.
