RECAP: Northwood defeats Concordia 5-1 Sunday afternoon (September 22), moving the Timberwolves to 4-1 on the season.


  • After both teams had chances early on, Northwood took the lead at the 19:00 mark. Karina Parker netted her third goal of the season off a feed from Kassidy Embrey.
  • The Timberwolves made it 2-0 four minutes later, as Embrey doubled the NU lead to 2-0 off a rebound.
  • The score remained 2-0 at the break. Northwood held a 17-10 edge in shots in the opening 45 minutes.
  • NU kept the offense going in the second half, as freshman Juliana Paoletti netted her team-leading fourth goal of the season at 68:23 to make the score 3-0.
  • Talene Nercesian followed at 70:21 with a goal on the right side. Riley Rajewski had the assist to push the edge to 4-0.
  • Thirty eight seconds later, the Timberwolves made it 5-0, as Jillian Hon scored to finish the scoring for NU on the day.
  • Concordia scored their lone goal in the 80th minute to make the final 5-1.
