RECAP: Women's soccer remains unbeaten a 3-0 win over Northern Michigan Sunday afternoon. (September 19) to open the home portion of NU's schedule.


  • The Timberwolves got on the board at 13:36 as Juliana Paoletti connected with Katie Foster's corner kick, heading the ball into the back of the net for her seventh goal of the season.
  • An errant clearance by a Wildcat defender snuck into NMU's net for an own goal with eight minutes remaining in the half to extend the Northwood lead to 2-0.
  • Abigail Fowler took advantage of Savannah Wallace's free kick in the 64th minute, heading it into the goal to put the score at 3-0. 
  • Despite Northern Michigan taking 12 shots, the Northwood defense earned the shutout as the Timberwolves picked up the 3-0 victory.

  • Northwood's 6-0 start matches the best start in program history, equaling the 6-0 on start from 2002 when the Timberwolves finished 11-4-2.
  • Through six games, Northwood has now scored 24 goals. Last spring, Northwood scored nine goals in nine games. In NU's last full season in 2019, the Timberwolves scored 22 goals in 18 games. They finished 9-9 overall in 2019.
