Jatczak Earns G-MAC Defensive Player Of the Week For Women's Soccer

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Hannah Jatczak earned defensive player of the week from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this week, Monday (October 9). It's her first career Athlete of the Week honor and the third honor for a women's soccer player this season.

Jatczak led the Timberwolves to a 2-0 record this week with shutout victories against both Thomas More on Wednesday (October 4) (2-0) and Ursuline on Saturday (October 7) (3-0). Jatczak scored her second career goal Wednesday (October 4) versus Thomas More. The Timberwolves staple in the back row allowed just four shots on goal to TMU and two on goal versus UC.

Northwood extended their current win streak to four with their fourth straight shutout victory, this over Ursuline. NU's allowing .92 goals per contest this season, fourth-best the G-MAC and is 8-0-1 over the last nine bouts.

Women's soccer is currently 8-2-2 and 7-0-1 in the G-MAC with a road trip to Ohio Dominican on Thursday (October 12) awaiting. Teams are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tilt with the Panthers in Columbus. In their previous matchup, the Timberwolves took down ODU, 2-0, in Midland on September 30.
