Ava Kettler Takes Home G-MAC Defender Of The Week Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. - Northwood senior Ava Kettler has been named the conference Defensive Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday (September 8). She becomes the first women's soccer player to earn Athlete of the Week honors this season.

Kettler led the Timberwolves to a 1-0 win over Saginaw Valley St. on Friday (September 5). The senior scored the game-winner in the 60' while helping hold the Cardinals scoreless to start the season.

The Timberwolves travel to the Upper Peninsula this weekend, taking on Northern Michigan on Thursday (September 11) at 1 p.m. before facing Michigan Tech on Saturday (September 13).
