Women's Tennis Places Pair On The All-Great Midwest Team
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team placed a pair student-athletes on the All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) team, the league announced Thursday (April 24).
Rafaella Platsiota and Danijela Danilovic each were named First Team.
Platsiota was one of the top performers in the G-MAC this season, going 31-8 overall. She was 14-5 at the No. 1 singles position and 17-3 at No. 1 doubles. In G-MAC play, Platsiota went 14-3 overall (7-1 singles, 7-2 doubles).
Danilovic earned a 32-8 overall record this year for Northwood, going 18-2 at the No. 2 singles position and 14-6 at the No. 2 slot. Her record was 14-4 combined in conference play (8-1 singles, 6-3 doubles).
Northwood currently stands at 16-4 overall while going 6-3 in G-MAC play. NU, which is currently ranked No. 6 in the Midwest region, will take on top-seeded Findlay in the G-MAC Tournament quarterfinals Friday (April 25).
