Elaina Meadows To Compete At NCAA Division II Indoor Track National Championships

MIDLAND, MICH. The Northwood University women's track and field team will send junior Elaina Meadows (Schoolcraft, Mich. / Schoolcraft) to the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships at Pittsburg State University.

The championships will be held March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan. Pittsburg State University and the Crawford County CVB will serve as hosts of the championships.

Meadows has had a tremendous indoor junior season, as she not only broke the Northwood University school record in the long jump at 5.84 meters but is also the GLIAC Champion after winning the event last weekend (February 28).

Her jump of 5.84 meters at the first meet of the season (SVSU Holiday Classic – December 4 currently ranks 15th in the country in the women's long jump.

The top eight finishers in each event will earn All-America honors. The women's long jump finals is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 11 at 2:05 p.m.
