Volleyball Earns No. 3 Seed In Upcoming NCAA Tournament

The Northwood University volleyball team has earned the No. 3 seed for the upcoming NCAA Midwest Regional Volleyball Tournament.

The field was announced Monday night by the NCAA.

Northwood (21-10) will open the event against No. 6 seed Indianapolis (24-9) in the opening round Thursday (December 5) at Noon . The winner of that match will take on the winner of the Ferris State/Lewis match in the second round.

Grand Valley State is the No. 1 seed in the region and will face Truman State in the first round. The other matchup in the opening round features Ashland and Southern Indiana.

Match 2 - No. 2 Ferris State (22-8) vs. No. 7 Lewis (24-9) - 2:30 p.m.
Match 3 - No. 4 Ashland (25-7) vs. No. 5 Southern Indiana (24-8) - 5 p.m.
Match 4 - No. 1 Grand Valley State (29-3) vs. No. 8 Truman State (23-11) - 7:30 p.m.

SECOND ROUND - Friday, December 6
Match 5 - Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2 - 5 p.m.
Match 6 - Winner of Match 3 vs. Winner of Match 4 - 7:30 p.m.

REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP - Saturday, December 7 - 7 p.m.
