HILLSDALE, MICH. – The Northwood University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Hillsdale Friday night (September 19). Set scores were 25-11, 25-21, 25-19.
Northwood is now 3-4 overall, 0-3 in the GLIAC. Hillsdale improves to 4-3 overall, 3-0 in the GLIAC.
It was the Charger offense that was the key to the Hillsdale victory. HC hit .371 overall for the match, finishing with 41 kills and eight errors on 89 attempts. Meanwhile, Northwood finished at .135 overall, totaling 31 kills and 15 errors on 111 attempts.
Meghan Cleary (Howell, Mich./Farmington Hills Mercy) led the way for Northwood, finishing with a team-high eight kills. Allison Getty (Wayland, Mich.) had seven kills, while Chelsea Watson (Bowling Green, Ohio/Niagara U.) added five kills and a .294 attack percentage.
Northwood will take on Findlay Saturday afternoon (September 20). First serve is set for 4 p.m.
