• With Northwood leading the opening set 7-5, the Timberwolves posted four of the next five points to go up 11-6. After the Panthers made the score 11-7, NU went on an 8-2 run to go up 18-9. The Timberwolves finished off the first set 25-15 for a 1-0 lead.
• NU led set two 8-6 before the Timberwolves took control. Northwood scored 10 of the next 12 points to take an 18-8 lead. The Panthers got no closer than nine the rest of the set, which was won by NU 25-13 for a 2-0 lead.
• Northwood used a 5-1 run in the final set to take an 9-4 lead. Kentucky Wesleyan stayed close but were never able to get back to level. The Timberwolves took the set 25-18 to close out the victory.
