Volleyball Loses To Cedarville 3-1

INSIDE THE MATCH
- Northwood controlled the opening set, as Cedarville's only lead came at 2-1. The Timberwolves used an 11-2 run to open up a 15-6 lead. The advantage grew to as many as nine late (19-10) before the Yellow Jackets started to fight back. CU put up 12 of the next 17 points to get within two at 24-22 before Northwood earned the set 25-22.
- Set two was evenly played through the score being tied at 15-15, as the largest lead for either team to that moment was two points. A 4-0 run late put Northwood on top 19-17. It was Cedarville, however, that made the final push to level the match, scoring the final seven points to take the second 25-20.
- The Yellow Jackets extended their overall run to 12 consecutive points by opening the third set with a 5-0 run. CU went on to hold leads of 7-2, 9-3 and 13-6 before a final decisive push gave them full control of the set. A 10-2 run made the score 23-8 before Cedarville went on to take the third 25-12 for a 2-1 overall lead.
- Northwood started the fourth set strong, leading 5-2 after seven points. That is when the Yellow Jackets made another run, putting up 13 of the next 17 points to take a 15-9 lead. CU led 21-12 before the Timberwolves earned some momentum, putting up five of the next six points to make the score 22-17. Cedarville responded with the final three points of the next to close out the victory 25-17.
