Volleyball Earns 3-0 Sweep Over Tiffin

RECAP: Northwood Volleyball picks up its second straight win, downing Tiffin 3-0 Friday night (October 10).

INSIDE THE MATCH

• Northwood got off to fast start, scoring the first six points of the match. The Timberwolves pushed their lead to 12-3 and 15-7 before Tiffin began to fight back. The Dragons scored eight of the next 10 points to get within two at 17-15. With the score 22-21, NU scored three of the final four points to take the opener 25-22.
• The Dragons were the better team to start the second set, opening action with a 6-2 run. Tiffin led 10-8 when Northwood posted eight of the next 10 points to take a 16-12 lead. NU kept the momentum going, eventually taking the set 25-17 for a 2-0 lead.
• Northwood scored four straight points at 3-3 in the third to take a 7-3 lead. The Timberwolves maintained control the rest of the set, not allowing Tiffin to get any closer than three the rest of the way. NU led by as many as seven before finishing the sweep with a 25-20 third set win.
