Bio
Kevin Morrison is the newest member of the Northwood University volleyball coaching staff, joining James Goodridge’s staff in the summer of 2014. He is now in his second season at Northwood.
Morrison comes to Northwood from Lees-McRae College, where he was a student assistant for the women’s team while also playing for the men’s program as an Opposite and Middle Hitter. As a player, Morrison helped NCAA Division II member, Lees-McRae College, to four years competing at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the newly formed Conference Carolinas. During his time, LMC earned the conference’s first win over a west coast opponent (2012 vs. Cal Baptist), as well as beating their highest ranked opponent, #16 Ball State (2011). They also took the 2011 Final Four team, nationally ranked #6 Penn State, to a hard-fought five set match. Additionally, Morrison helped Lees-McRae to an overall winning record, as well as a winning record against Division I opponents.
Morrison began his coaching career early, helping the Lees-McRae women’s team to two NCAA tournament berths. In addition, he has worked with many North Carolina and Virginia high schools. Morrison has also coached at many Virginia Beach area clubs, with vast experience in coaching numerous high school, club, and college summer camps.
