Men's Cross Country Opens Up At No. 10 In Initial USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - The Northwood men's cross country team landed at No. 10 in the initial United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Midwest Regional Rankings. The USTFCCCA rankings were released on Tuesday (September 17).
Grand Valley State comes in at No. 1 and Lewis one spot behind at No. 2. Northwood was one of four Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) teams that appeared on the list, including Walsh at No. 4, Findlay at No. 7, and Hillsdale at No. 8.
In their recent race at the Warrior Challenge (September 13) hosted by Wayne St. (Mich.) NU's men took second with 89 points. The race included 100 athletes from 14 teams. The top three teams included No. 8 Hillsdale, taking first with 62 points, and preseason No. 8 Wayne St. (Mich.), taking third with 90.
Northwood men's and women's cross country will compete at the Knight Invitational later this month (September 28) at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids, Mich.
