Northwood University Athletic Events This Weekend

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University basketball teams will host the Huskies of Michigan Tech and the Northern Michigan Wildcats for Coming Home Week. The Timberwolves play Tech on Thursday (February 19) with 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. tip off times. On Saturday (February 21), NU hosts the Wildcats at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Thursday night will be the All-Athlete Awards night during halftime of the men's game, where all student-athletes that have received both academic and athletic honors in the past year will be recognized. The Coming Home king and queen will be crowned during the women's halftime on Saturday. The Eastlawn Jump Rope Team will be performing as special guests during the men's halftime. 

The Northwood indoor track and field teams will travel to Hillsdale's Tune Up meet on Saturday


Season-Long Promotions:

  • NU PUNCH CARD: Turn in your NU Punch Card after attending ten (10) home athletic events and receive a FREE prize. Also enter for a chance at winning the GRAND PRIZE! 

  • "SELFIE": Take a 'selfie' with the playing field in the background at each home game. Post 'selfie' to #NUSelfie and the best post of the week will receive a special prize! Check out social media channels for more details.

Monday, February 16:

Thursday, February 19:

* Coming Home Week - Throwback to the 90's

* First 50 students in student section will get a FREE shirt!

* Coming Home Competition - Halftime of the women's game

* All-Athlete Awards Night - Halftime of the men's game (meet at wolf head with 5:00 in first half) 

* Adult tickets for Northwood Games are $7 and are general admission

* Students (K-12) and Seniors are $4 general admission

* All NU students get a FREE ticket with a Northwood Student ID!


Saturday, February 21:

  • Indoor Track and Field Teams travel to Hillsdale's Tune Up meet - MEET INFORMATION (Field Events - 9:30am; Running Events - 11:00am)

* Coming Home Week - Throwback to the 90's

* First 50 students in student section will get a FREE shirt!

* Coming Home King & Queen Crowned - Halftime of the women's game
