The founder of Northwood University volleyball, Jeff Williams is the winningest coach in program history, having posted a career-record of 305-129 (.702). He averaged more than 25 wins a season during his career, which saw him serve as the head coach on two different occasions (1982-86 and 1997-03). Williams guided Northwood to three GLIAC Tournament Championships, two GLIAC North Division Titles and four NAIA District 23 crowns. The Timberwolves reached the NCAA Tournament five times and reached four regional finals under Williams. Six different student-athletes attained All-America honors under Williams’ tutelage. During his career at Northwood Williams also spent time as an assistant volleyball coach, assistant football coach and was Northwood’s first full-time compliance coordinator.
