RECAP: Northwood baseball drops a pair in a doubleheader at Maryville Friday (February 20), losing game one 5-3 before fall ing 4-3 in the nightcap.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)

• Maryville plated a pair of two-out runs in the bottom of the first inning for the early lead.
• The score remained 2-0 until the fifth with the Saints added a run to go up 3-0.
• Northwood got on the board in the top of the sixth on a Caden Duryea RBI single to cut the deficit down to 3-1.
• NU then made it 3-2 in the seventh on a Spencer Fortier RBI single.
• The Timberwolves had runners on second and third in the seventh down by one but were unable to tie the game.
• Maryville responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to go on top 5-2.
• Brendan Hammer brought home a run in the top of the ninth to get Northwood with two runs, but the Timberwolves were unable to add on, giving Maryville the victory.
