Ethan Hamby Earns Second Consecutive G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week Award
MIDLAND, MICH. – Redshirt sophomore quarterback Ethan Hamby from the Northwood University football team has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Offensive Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday (October 20).
This marks the second straight week Hamby has earned the award. It is the third time overall this year a Northwood player has earned the G-MAC weekly award this season, joining Cole Simpson from September 15.
Hamby led Northwood to its third straight win, passing for 287 yards while accounting for four touchdowns in a 48-19 road win over Hillsdale. He was 17-31 passing with three touchdowns while adding 32 yards rushing and a touchdown. Hamby now has 14 touchdown passes and zero interceptions on the season. NU is now 6-1 on the season, matching its best start since 2006.
The Timberwolves have now earned 12 G-MAC Athletes of the Week over the last three seasons.
Northwood travels to Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday (October 25). Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern.
