  • Northwood got off to a good start in the game, holding a 10-5 lead 3:15 into the contest.
  • The score was tied 24-24 with six minutes remaining before the Cardinals controlled the remainder of the half.
  • SVSU outscored Northwood 14-5 the rest of the way to make the score 38-29 at the break.
  • Saginaw Valley kept the momentum going early in the second half, scoring 13 of the first 17 points to take their biggest lead of the game at 51-33 with 15:31 to go.
  • Northwood started its comeback at that point, scoring 10 straight points to get within eight at 51-43 at the 13:12 mark.
  • NU's run eventually reached 21-4, which made the score 55-54 with 10 minutes remaining.
