GAME STORY
- Northwood connected on a 3-pointer on their opening possession to take a 3-2 lead.
- That would prove to be the lone lead of the contest for the Timberwolves, however. Thomas More scored eight straight points to go up 10-3 less than three minutes into the game.
- Northwood trailed 27-17 around the midway point of the opening half when the Timberwolves began to chip away at the advantage.
- NU cut the lead to three four times the remainder of the half, including at the end when the game went to the break with TMU leading 39-36.
- The Saints were the better team over the opening 12 minutes of the second half – TMU took their biggest lead of the game at 66-54.
- That was when Northwood fought back, going on a 9-0 run to get within three with 4:25 remaining.
- NU got within two with 37 seconds remaining at 73-71 before Thomas More made a pair of free throws in the final seconds to close out the contest.
