RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse opened the 2026 season against No. 11 Lewis, falling 23-9 Saturday at the Detroit Country Day Indoor Fieldhouse.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Lewis struck quickly, scoring twice in the opening two minutes and building a 6-2 lead by the end of the first quarter. Luke Ueland and Ryder Mulvey accounted for Northwood's first-period goals at the 9:09 and 1:02 marks.
• The Flyers pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 7-0 to take a 13-2 lead before Drew Lockwood scored on a man-up opportunity at the :33 mark going into the half.
• Lewis continued its offensive surge in the third, extending the margin to 21-6 after three quarters. Andrew Rogers, Lockwood, and Collin Gibson scored in the period for Northwood.
• Lewis opened their largest lead to 23-6 before Northwood showed some fight in the fourth, scoring three times in three minutes. Mulvey added two goals in the game's final quarter while Rogers also found the net, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
