RECAP: Men's Soccer started their three-match homestand with a battle with Ashland on Wednesday (October 15). The Eagles notched two goals in the first 45 minutes, taking a commanding 2-0 lead at the half. The purple and yellow added another in the second half to take the match, 3-0, after controlling the second half.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Eagles notched the early lead in the 12'. A long cross from the far-left side found the back of the net via a header from just outside the six-yard box, 1-0 AU.
- Northwood may have controlled possession, leading 11-5 in shots and 1-0 in corner opportunities, but the Eagles added another goal late in the half in the 41'.
- Ashland added insurance in the 80'. The Eagle's cross in the box and header to a wide opener forward in the box gave the Eagles the easy 3-0 lead.
