  • Northwood took the lead for good at 4-2.
  • The Timberwolves went on a big run leading 6-5, scoring 14 of the next 16 points to take a 20-7 lead.
  • NU took a 23-10 lead after one.
  • Northwood continued to maintain their lead, pushing their advantage to as many as 19 (31-12).
  • The Timberwolves held a 38-22 lead at the break.
  • Ashland began to fight back early in the second, scoring the first five points of the half to get within 11 at 38-27.
  • NU kept the lead above double figures until the final moments of the first. Northwood connected on the final field goal of the third to send the game to the final period with the Timberwolves on top 48-38.
  • The Eagles got with seven with five minutes remaining, but that is as close as Ashland would get the rest of the way.
  • Northwood pushed their advantage to as many as 14 down the stretch before winning by 11.

  • Ashland entered play tonight with an all-time program record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play of 61-1. Their only loss in league play came February 17, 2022 against Walsh. The Eagles had won 44 consecutive G-MAC games coming into tonight.
