GAME STORY

  • Northwood got off to a fast start in the game, putting up the first 12 points of the contest for the early advantage.
  • Lake Erie fought back to get within five at 16-11, only to see the Timberwolves score the final six points of the first to lead 22-11 at the break.
  • The Timberwolves pushed their lead to as many as 15 before leading 42-31 at the break.
  • Lake Erie chipped away at the lead early in the third, cutting the advantage down to 58-53 with just over three minutes remaining in the quarter.
  • That is when the key run of the game started, as the Timberwolves outscored the Storm 14-4 the remainder of the quarter to open up a 72-57 lead heading to the fourth.
  • NU kept the momentum going over the opening five minutes of the final quarter, eventually making their run 30-7 to push their advantage to 88-60.
  • The Timberwolves, who led throughout the game, pushed their advantage to as many as 27 before winning by 24.
