Women's Basketball Earns 59-54 Senior Day Win Over Malone

GAME STORY
- Malone scored the opening five points of closely contested opening half, which was the Pioneers largest lead of first 20 minutes.
- Northwood was the better team the remainder of the quarter, out-scoring Malone 14-6 to take a 14-11 lead after one.
- The Pioneers led 26-22 in the second when Northwood made the first significant run of the contest. NU scored nine straight and 12 of the final 14 points of the second to hold a 34-28 lead at the break.
- Northwood made just two 3-pointers in the half, but they both came during their 12-2 run to finish the second.
- The Timberwolves kept the momentum going early in the third quarter, scoring the first seven points to make their run 19-2 overall. That made the score 42-28 with 4:50 remaining in the third.
- Malone responded down the stretch, scoring eight of the final nine points to send the game to the final period with the score 43-36.
- The Pioneers got the lead down to two at 45-43 but that is as close as Malone would get the rest of the way.
- Northwood scored the next six points to get the lead right back to eight.
- Malone got no closer than five the rest of the way.
