Brengman And Jackson Sweep G-MAC Women's Soccer Athlete Of The Week Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. - Northwood University women's soccer swept the conference's weekly awards, as Reagan Brengman and Mari Jackson were named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's Defensive and Offensive Athletes of the Week, the conference announced Monday (September 15). The pair became the second and third Timberwolves to earn weekly honors this season.

Jackson played a pivotal role in Northwood's two road victories, scoring the game-winning goal in both matches against Northern Michigan (September 11) and Michigan Tech (September 13). The junior recorded six total shots on the week, placing five on goal while finding the back of the net twice.

Brengman anchored the Timberwolves' defensive unit, leading the back line to consecutive shutouts. Northwood limited its opponents to just three total shots on goal across the two matches. The honor marks the second Defensive Athlete of the Week award of Brengman's career.

The Timberwolves conference play on Thursday (September 18) at Ursuline. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m. in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
