Nurenberg registered a pair of double-doubles to open the season last week, ending up averaging 19.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor (16-24). She had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the Timberwolves' 74-59 win over St. Joseph's. Nurenberg then had 19 points and 12 rebounds against No. 2 Lewis.

After being named Second Team All-GLIAC and the second straight GLIAC Tournament Championship, NU hosted SVSU for the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Jack Smith fed James DeCosemo for to put the Timberwolves ahead 1-0 for his seventh assist on the year. After Saginaw Valley State netted the equalizer at 62:33, Northwood responded just a minute later on a rebound in NU's attacking zone. Smith connected with a line drive from nearly 18 yards out at the top of the box for his third goal on the year and what would be the game-winning goal. NU went on to win 3-1 and will compete in the Round of 16 against Rockhurst in Kansas City, Mo. on Friday (Nov. 20) at 8 p.m.
