Volleyball Finishes 3-0 Weekend With Sweep Over Frostburg State

SCORE: Northwood Timberwolves 3, Frostburg State Bobcats 2 (25-17, 25-11, 25-13)

RECAP: Northwood Volleyball finishes a 3-0 weekend with a sweep over Frostburg State at the Warrior Invitational Saturday (September 7).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Northwood started the match strong, opening up leads of 5-1, 8-2 and 10-3. Frostburg State responded with a big run, putting up 10 of the next 11 points to take a 13-11 lead. With the score tied 15-15, the Timberwolves took control of the set. Northwood scored 10 of the last 12 points to win the opener 25-17 for a 1-0 overall lead.
- The second set was tied 7-7 when Northwood took over. The Timberwolves scored 11 straight points to go up 18-7. NU matched its biggest lead of the opening set at 14 when they closed out the second at 25-11.
- The Timberwolves scored five of the first six points of the third to set the tone. Northwood went up 8-2 and stayed in control the rest of the way, not allowing the Bobcats to get any closer than four. NU's 25-13 lead at the end of the set was its biggest of the third set.
