Volleyball Loses At Hillsdale 3-0

RECAP: Northwood Volleyball sees its seven-match winning streak come to an end with a 3-0 loss at Hillsdale Saturday (September 28).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Hillsdale scored five of the first six and seven of the first nine points of the match for the early advantage. The Chargers maintained their lead until late in the set, holding a 22-17 edge. That is when Northwood went on a run, scoring six of the next seven points to tie the score at 23-23. The two teams went back and forth the remainder of the set – Northwood had a pair of set points while Hillsdale had six set points through the scoring being 31-31. The Chargers scored the final three points of the first to win 33-31.
- Northwood got off to a good start in the second, leading 3-1 early. Hillsdale led 8-7 when the Chargers took command, scoring five of the next six points. HC finished the set on a big run scoring 10 of the final 12 points to take the second 25-12 for a 2-0 overall lead.
- The final set saw the Chargers leading throughout, scoring the first two points and six of the first six overall. Northwood got no closer than three points the rest of the way. Hillsdale finished off the sweep with a 25-19 third-set victory.
