Volleyball Posts 3-0 Senior Day Win Over Tiffin

RECAP: Northwood volleyball extends winning streak to five, picking up a 3-0 senior day sweep over Tiffin Saturday (November 9).

INSIDE THE MATCH                                                                                        

• Northwood scored the first five points of the match, only to see Tiffin put up the next four to cut the lead to one. The Dragons did not get any closer the rest of the set. A 5-1 run put Northwood on top 13-8. TU got no closer than three the rest of the set, which was capped by a 7-2 Timberwolves run that made the final 25-16.
• Set two was close throughout – there were 13 ties and six lead changes. Neither team led by more than two points. Tiffin led 23-22 when Northwood scored the final three points to steal the set 25-23 and take a 2-0 lead.
• Northwood used an 8-3 run in the third set to turn a 9-8 lead to a 17-10 advantage. The Timberwolves led by as least four points the rest of the way. NU closed out the match at 25-18 to pick up their fifth straight win.
